Co-Writers
Help explore character-driven storytelling, meaningful conflict, dialogue, scene structure and long-form narrative development—within a shared creative vision.
OldRoot is growing an original superhero universe, and the best worlds are built through people who care about the details. We're interested in meeting co-writers and illustrators who connect with our creative direction and want to explore working together.
OldRoot is an independent project still being built. We cannot pay creative collaborators at this time. This page is an invitation to express interest, not a job advertisement or a request for free finished work. There is no expectation of work, schedule, employment, royalties, or future payment arising from an inquiry. Any potential collaboration, including credit, creative responsibilities, use of work and rights, would be discussed and recorded in a separate written agreement before anyone starts contributing.
Two focused disciplines, one connected universe. We're looking for people who value collaboration and strong execution.
Help explore character-driven storytelling, meaningful conflict, dialogue, scene structure and long-form narrative development—within a shared creative vision.
Explore the visual side of the world: character concepts, expressive poses, comic-style storytelling, environments, costumes and thoughtful design development.
We'd rather build one compelling character or scene than chase a dozen flashy but empty ideas.
Bring ideas, ask questions, give thoughtful feedback, and help continuity and character stay consistent.
Creative contributions, feedback, credit, and permissions get discussed openly before real work begins.
Just an introduction—not an audition or a request for speculative creative work. Please send links to your own existing work, not unpublished OldRoot story pitches, full scripts, or character submissions.
