FLYING SAUCER

Nikki Knotts · The Triple Strike

A fearless nineteen-year-old who can stop a fight in seconds—and still has a lot to learn about choosing when to fight.

Flying Saucer · Seattle / Rooftop Mobility

Overview

Flying Saucer is the chosen superhero identity of Nikki Knotts, a nineteen-year-old, unenhanced human vigilante based in Seattle, Washington. A pizza delivery courier who knows the city from street level, Nikki fights with pairs of forearm-mounted disc launchers and an athlete's remarkable coordination, mobility and nerve.

She is bright, loud, impulsive, competitive, and fiercely protective of people being mistreated. She can be exhausting, funny and stubbornly independent. Nikki's talent is real; so are the mistakes she makes while learning that courage alone is not enough to protect people.

“She can be extraordinary in a fight and very nineteen everywhere else.”

Character & Temperament

Nikki is a firecracker, a tough sweetheart, and a wild card: outwardly energetic, outspoken and mischievous, but genuinely compassionate. She is quick with sarcasm and practical jokes, makes friends easily, and reacts strongly when stronger people bully or exploit the vulnerable.

Her temper ignites quickly and cools just as fast. She will challenge authority when it seems arrogant or unfair, yet respects leaders who earn her trust. Clever and imaginative rather than academically or scientifically exceptional, she spots opportunities and improvises quickly, but struggles with patience and long-term plans.

Her most persistent emotional weakness is guilt. After mistakes, she often hides hurt behind jokes, stays busy and tries to fix everything at once. She is not permanently miserable underneath her humor; both her joy and her remorse are sincere.

The Knotts Family

Nikki and her older adoptive brother, Trank Knotts, were raised by the same parents. They share no biological relation. Their adoptive father was a military veteran whose service meant a great deal to Trank; both parents later died in a car accident.

About a year after their deaths, Trank left for what the family understood to be U.S. Army service, intending to support Nikki and honor their father's legacy. Before he departed, he entrusted her well-being to his childhood best friend Remington “Remy” Hampton and Remy's father, Mark Hampton. The family was subsequently told Trank had died when a military installation was attacked.

The loss still shapes Nikki's life. Her brother's reported death is not the beginning of her relationship with Remy; he had already spent years looking out for her during her rebellious adolescence.

Remy Hampton & Chosen Family

Growing up around the Hampton household never made Nikki docile. She went missing for hours, mixed with questionable crowds and argued about the limits Remy tried to set. Remy repeatedly tracked her down and brought her back from situations she should not have entered.

Now known as Agent Emerald, Remy is Nikki's protective older-brother figure, mentor and trusted family connection. He is wealthy, theatrical, confident and occasionally just as immature as she is. She teases him relentlessly; he worries about her safety and eventually learns to guide her without trying to own her decisions.

Their bond is strictly platonic and familial. Nikki is not helpless, and Remy is not a humorless guardian. Their partnership works when her initiative and his precision make both heroes better.

A Hero Before the Uniform

Inspired by Agent Emerald's exploits but unwilling to sit on the sidelines, Nikki began sketching disc-launching weapons. Her first versions were homemade, makeshift and unreliable. The concept was hers long before Remy helped refine it.

When she saw members of a small local gang threatening someone, Nikki intervened on instinct. She unexpectedly disrupted part of a drug operation and, despite faulty equipment and serious risk, successfully stopped the immediate threat on her own. Agent Emerald neither arrived to rescue her nor finished the encounter for her.

She escaped but left behind a distinctive disc. Remy later recognized design details from her sketches in a report about the recovered object—the clue that revealed her secret. When confronted, she did not pretend to misunderstand the danger. She simply refused to stop. Remy reluctantly chose training and safer technology over a prohibition he knew she would ignore.

Courier by Day

In civilian life, Nikki earns her own money delivering pizza around Seattle on a dirt bike. She values financial independence and has no intention of spending her adulthood relying on the Hampton family's wealth. Familiarity with streets, back routes and shifting city traffic translates naturally into her movement style.

The job is ordinary work, not a nonstop chain of secret missions. Nikki can be playful with customers, impatient with traffic and simply exhausted after a long shift. Her equipment and food deliveries must remain safely separated.

Visual Identity & The Triple Strike

Nikki has fair skin, freckles, green eyes and naturally red hair secured in a high ponytail with a yellow hair tie. Her compact athletic build reads as a coordinated and explosive five-foot-four athlete, not a towering armored fighter.

Her hero outfit is a fitted but flexible black, lilac and white sport-combat tracksuit, not superhero spandex. The jacket is zipped; protective material beneath it remains largely concealed. Yellow shoe laces, medium-profile forearm disc launchers, and dark equipment housings with orange-gold ring highlights anchor the silhouette.

Her official Triple Strike branding mark depicts three mechanical discs, fractured lilac structural elements and forceful asymmetry. It is a separate identity emblem for dossiers and merchandise, not a chest logo printed on Nikki's established tracksuit. The name Flying Saucer refers to the flying discs she launches, not a literal UFO or flight powers.

The Disc Launchers

Nikki's primary weapons are paired forearm-mounted launchers that propel physical mechanical discs at high velocity. They strike with intense kinetic impact and can cut through vulnerable equipment, surfaces or armor seams with their sharpened rims. They are not energy projectiles and do not transform into separate attack modes.

3 loaded · Left forearm3 loaded · Right forearm2 reserve · Lower back

She carries eight discs in total: three loaded in each launcher and two manually reloaded reserves at her lower back. At most six discs can be deployed simultaneously. A disc shown in flight is no longer sitting in a loaded slot.

A retrieval system can recall freely moving discs, but is weaker than Agent Emerald's Vector Talon technology: if someone grabs and holds a disc, Nikki cannot pull it free remotely. She can run short of ammunition through overenthusiastic attacks and must make time to reload.

There is no infinite ammunition, energy blast, disc-generated flight, rebound springboard, or unexplained returning weapon that ignores a physical grip.

Footwork, Parkour & Assisted Mobility

Nikki is exceptionally agile without mechanical help. Discreet burst-assisted footwear and lower-leg support reinforce short-distance acceleration, jumping, safe landing control and rapid repositioning. She can vault, climb, change levels and cross manageable gaps using the real environment.

Her mobility is not flight or teleportation. It still demands takeoff space, a plausible landing and finite battery power. Bad decisions can cause serious injuries. Where Remy uses carefully controlled systems such as the Line Driver, Nikki moves through intuitive athleticism and explosive short bursts.

Combat Identity

Nikki fights as an offensive skirmisher, attacking hard from changing angles and relying on her discs, speed, instinct and adaptability to control the pace. Her power comes from gear and natural coordination, not inherited superhuman strength or an enhanced physiology.

She can sometimes put more raw offensive pressure on a target than Agent Emerald, while Remy remains far more polished in tactical discipline, precision and technology integration. At nineteen Nikki still commits to attacks prematurely, trusts difficult maneuvers too much, struggles to defend herself when trapped, and wastes discs when impatient.

Her high Offense rating shows that she can threaten dangerous opponents; it does not guarantee she will beat them. When her routes close, ammunition runs low or a landing goes wrong, she remains a vulnerable human being.

Friends, Agency & Growth

Nikki's eventual work alongside an expanding hero organization gives her a wider circle of genuine friendships and a sense of belonging beyond the Hampton household. Her friendship with Mono “Deuce” Russo is especially playful, chaotic and affectionate without being a declared romance.

Her coming-of-age story is not about losing her humor or becoming a copy of Agent Emerald. It is about learning discipline, trust, patience and responsible decisions without surrendering the initiative that made her a hero before anybody gave her permission.
