AGENT EMERALD
Remington James “Remy” Hampton
A theatrical engineering prodigy who turns precision, mobility, and guided weapons against the corrupt infrastructure built under his family name.
Overview
Remington “Remy” Hampton is Agent Emerald, a Seattle / Puget Sound vigilante and engineering prodigy whose escalating conflict with his uncle, Lt. Col. Hillfred Hampton, pushes him into direct action against the corrupt infrastructure operating under Hampton Dynamics.
Remy is wealthy, theatrical, attention-loving, genuinely silly, cocky, and obnoxious. In combat that demeanor gives way to a highly precise tactical fighter built around spatial intelligence, multi-target tracking, timing, predictive positioning, weapon mastery, and integrated mobility.
His long-term Hampton-era objective is to destroy Hillfred’s corrupt infrastructure, expose the programs operating beneath Hampton Dynamics, and eventually restore the Hampton family name.
Physical Description
Remy is a white man with a lean athletic build, gray-green eyes, dark blond to light brown textured hair, a strong Hampton-family jaw and chin, high cheekbones, a defined brow, and a straight, slightly pronounced nose.
Identity & Family
Mark Hampton
Remy’s father, Mark Hampton, is 49 and was born March 2. He co-founded Hampton Dynamics with Hillfred Hampton. Mark was pushed out after opposing increasingly corrupt programs, later founded Dunamis Dynamics, and eventually becomes Agent Emerald’s mission-control support.
Monica Hampton
Remy’s mother, Monica Hampton, is 45 and was born December 9. She does not initially know that he is Agent Emerald. She suspects Mark and Remy are hiding something, while Mark refuses to reveal the truth because he believes the knowledge would place her in danger. The secrecy contributes to severe family problems and eventually divorce.
Lt. Col. Hillfred Hampton
Remy’s uncle and Hampton Dynamics co-founder eventually forces Mark and Remy out of the company and becomes the primary Hampton-era antagonist. Hillfred initially does not know that Agent Emerald is Remy.
Allies & Training
Neegan Walters
Neegan Walters is a 60-year-old Welsh former spy and operative who originally infiltrated a Hampton event disguised as a line cook with the intention of assassinating Hillfred. He became attached to Mark’s family, abandoned the mission, and eventually became the family’s butler and protector. He helped train Remy from childhood.
Lace Bo Hughes
Lace Bo Hughes is a close friend of Remy who remains inside Hampton Dynamics after Mark and Remy are removed. Lace feeds Remy internal intelligence and learns that Remy is Agent Emerald roughly one year into Remy’s vigilante career.
Origin
Agent Emerald is not created by one singular personal tragedy. Remy’s transformation into the identity follows years of growing disgust with Hillfred and loyalty to Mark.
After Mark and Remy are removed from Hampton Dynamics, Lace reports that the company changes almost immediately. Remy disrupts one or two smaller Hampton operations before discovering a larger off-book operation at a separate Seattle / Puget Sound logistics and fabrication annex. This annex is not the St. Dorsey facility; the Hampton site at St. Dorsey is a specialized deep-ocean division tied to sonar, advanced ocean mapping, marine exploration, undersea discovery, and HVA-01 / Ax-126 research.
Remy completes the full Agent Emerald suit, Vector Talons, and Line Driver for the operation. He discovers evidence proving Mark’s removal was operationally necessary for Hillfred’s plans, but a burn protocol activates. Remy chooses to rescue workers rather than preserve the evidence and escape. Public footage leaks from the incident.
Seattle media temporarily nicknames him “The Seattle Savior.” Remy hates the nickname. Mark recognizes him almost immediately from the technology, body language, throwing posture, and behavioral tells, then becomes mission control. Remy later formally establishes the name Agent Emerald.
Remy: “Dad, hush. I didn’t ask.”
Dunamis Dynamics & VX-11
Dunamis Dynamics is Mark Hampton’s smaller company created after leaving Hampton Dynamics. Its established areas include sanitation systems, weapons technology, weapon attachments and accessories, and advanced prototypes.
Remy serves as Executive Vice President of Advanced Systems & Prototyping. He uses Dunamis facilities and maintains private development sectors there.
VX-11 belongs to Remy personally. It is his design and intellectual property and is not automatically property of Dunamis Dynamics. Its materials and construction use plausible advanced real-world materials and process architecture rather than magical fictional unobtainium.
Precision / Reflex Stimulant
The Precision / Reflex Stimulant was developed by Dunamis Dynamics under Mark Hampton’s biological-enhancement oversight. Its effects last approximately a couple of hours.
It temporarily improves neural processing, reaction initiation, peripheral threat registration, and sensory-response efficiency. It does not make Remy’s muscles magically faster, grant precognition, create bullet time, or automatically dodge attacks. Remy remains highly perceptive without it.
Suit
Agent Emerald’s suit is forest green and matte black, sleek and mobility-first, with minimal armor bulk, a glossy black upper-face visor, an exposed lower jaw and mouth, restrained amber-gold technological accents, a compact dual vector-relay backpiece, highly technical gauntlets, and voice modulation.
The design has no horns and is not bulky power armor. The suit is not bulletproof. Gunfire can seriously injure or kill Remy; fire burns him; explosions and major superhuman impacts remain dangerous.
Vector Talons
Agent Emerald’s primary weapons are a pair of transforming guided weapons called Vector Talons. They operate through physical engineering and guided vector control rather than magic.
Pick Mode
A short-grip compact hook/pick configuration used for melee, hooking, trapping, redirection, and utility.
Boomerang Mode
The grip retracts and the crescent / hook profile expands into a guided projectile and ricochet form. Remy can single- or dual-wield the Talons, keep one airborne while fighting with the other, transform a Talon while it returns, and use a highly reliable automatic guided return or a manual recall override.
The reliable guided range is approximately 25–30 feet. Endurance is approximately three hours at low or normal load and approximately one hour forty-five minutes under sustained active-combat load. The Talons can bite or dig into steel but do not casually slice through thick steel; they rapidly cut conventional fabric armor.
The system is lethal, can still function as a physical Pick if electronics fail, can be damaged or destroyed, and can be rebuilt by Remy in roughly one day using standardized spare components. Their visual construction uses a green chassis, dark graphite internals, and a restrained amber-gold energized edge.
Line Driver
The Line Driver is a compact dual-launch high-torque grapnel / zipline system mounted around the hips and lower back. It supports rapid vertical traversal, swinging, rappelling, braking falls, directional changes, rescue operations, and combat repositioning.
Its reliable range is approximately 180 feet, with an ideal maximum around 240 feet. Normal dynamic load is Remy plus one adult; emergency static load is approximately 450–500 pounds. It is not Spider-Man-style webbing.
Combat Profile
Agent Emerald is fully human. His effectiveness comes from elite tactics, spatial intelligence, multi-target tracking, battlefield awareness, timing, predictive positioning, weapon mastery, and mobility integration.
His signature sequence is Throw → reposition → engage → return, creating a recurring attack triangle between Remy, the enemy, and a returning Talon. He remains a strong melee fighter even without the Talons.
Against firearms, Remy relies on cover, line-of-sight denial, elevation changes, disarms, and positioning. He does not literally dodge bullets after they have already been fired. Against armored targets he focuses on joints, seams, equipment, and mobility systems.
Confined and vertical environments favor Agent Emerald. Wide-open terrain is comparatively disadvantageous.
